Jenks Trojan Athletics tackle football is open to all boys in 1st through 7th grades enrolled in Jenks Public Schools. Our goal is to make all boys feel included, learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, school spirit, and to have fun. It's a great way for boys learn about football and work on strength and conditioning. MIGHTY MITE FOOTBALL Teams are made up of first and second grade boys. Little boys will make new friends, learn football positions and plays, and get lots of exercise. Mighty Mite football players go to football camp before the season begins and are introduced to all kinds of football training techniques. During football season Mighty Mites practice twice a week, and play other Jenks Mighty Mite teams on Saturdays. 3RD THROUGH 7TH GRADE FOOTBALL Teams are made up of boys by grade level. Boys will make new friends, learn football positions and plays, work hard, and get lots of exercise. Football players go to football camp before the season begins and gain strength, conditioning, and football training techniques. During football season they practice two to three times a week, and play other INFC league teams. Players will also participate in the Jenks Homecoming Parade in October. Some teams may choose to extend the season by participating in post season tournaments. ABOUT JTA Jenks Trojan Athletics (JTA) is a non-profit organization, which fosters, coordinates and promotes youth activities for football and cheerleading in the Jenks Public Schools District. JTA is made up entirely of parent volunteers. Football Coaches, Cheer Sponsors and other helpers such as Jenks High School Student Coaches abide by the rules set forth by the JTA Board of Directors and adhere to the JTA By-laws. |
